How about the Sliema Plaza cinema intereior when the Todd AO screen was installed? I recall this being featured in one of the local papers back then.

Very good list, but not comprehensive enough!

Astoria Cinema, at Pjazza l-‘Isle Adam in Rabat not included. Some info about it on the Rabat page on Facebook, People Who Like or Live in Rabat….

Thanks Christopher for drawing my attention. Now Astoria has been included. Will appreciate if you give us some information and photos about Astoria Cinema in Rabat. The Fb page you indicate does not give any information about Astoria! The photo on the Fb Page post is of cinema goers in front of Carlton in Sliema

Mr. Vassallo, I think you missed “Tropps” in Paola square I believe now it’s a grocery store of some kind. This is way back to between 1948-1950 ??.

Yes, quite true, but the one I mentioned was quite popular more than others as it was on a main road and used to be always full up to capacity….

How about the Schina Cinema Hall, in Rudolph Street, Sliema, run by the Catholic Action of San Girgor, Sliema. This was also quite popular with the youngters and big families too…Yet, they might have some old photographs.

Many Catholic Action Centres in various parishes had a cinema hall in the 1960s 70s and 80s. Very difficult to name them all.
